Important Corrigendum Notes of Combined Recruitment for the post of Programme Executive and Transmission Executive in Prasar Bharati, Examination


Exam Pattern

NOTE I: Paper-I (Objective Type) will be bilingual i.e. Hindi/English.
NOTE II: Candidates choosing English in Part A of Paper II will not be allowed to select English in Part B. Similarly, candidates selecting Hindi in Part A of Paper II will not be allowed to select Hindi in Part B. Any candidate doing so will be awarded zero mark in Part B.
NOTE III: Candidates should select in Part B of Paper II the language which is the Discipline for Programme Executive or Language for Transmission Executive for
which they have exercised option. In the event of their exercising option for multiple language/disciplines/zones, they must select one such language in Part II. Candidates opting only for Disciplines A,B,C and/or D for Programme Executive should select in Part B any language other than the compulsory language opted for in Part A.
NOTE IV: Individual cut off will be prescribed in Paper-I & Paper-II. Paper II of only those candidates will be evaluated who meet the cut off for Paper-I.
NOTE V: Only those candidates who meet the cut off in Paper-II as prescribed by the Commission will be called for Interview.
NOTE VI: Commission may prescribe, at its option, separate cut off in Interview for general and reserved category candidates.
NOTE VII: Final selection will be on the basis of marks secured by the candidates in Paper I & II (200 marks each) and interview (100 marks).
NOTE VIII: Candidates are advised to note that they will be considered for only one post based on this recruitment.
NOTE IX: Allocation of candidates for the posts of Transmission Executive will be done on the basis of Merit –cum-option of Zone and there after for different places within the Zone. Seniority in these Grades will be maintained within the Zone.
NOTE X: Level of languages tested in Paper II will be of Matriculation/10th Standard level.
NOTE XI: 26 Languages/dialects for posts of Transmission Executives in Para A4 are not included in the languages included in Part B of paper II. So, for Part B of Paper II, candidates opting for such post should select the language other than English or Hindi as may be chosen by them for Part A of Paper II, which they have studied upto Matriculation.

Essential Qualification required for NCB Examination 2013

1. BACHELOR?S DEGREE FROM A RECOGNISED UNIVERSITY OR EQUIVALENT.

2. For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi Police only:- Male candidates must possess and also carry a valid Driving License for LMV(Motor cycle and Car) on the date fixed for Physical Endurance and Standard Tests. Otherwise they will not be allowed to undergo Physical Endurance and Standard Tests.
NOTE-I: As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification No. 44 dated 01.03.1995 published in Gazette of India edition dated 08.04.1995, the Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. Accordingly, unless such Degrees had been recognized for the period when the candidates acquired the relevant qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of Educational Qualification.

Note – II : Candidates who have not acquired/will not acquire the educational qualification as on 01-01-2013 will not be eligible and need not apply.

Note- III : All candidates who are declared qualified by the Commission for appearing at the Interview/Personality Test will be required to produce all relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets for all the three years of Graduation/ Provisional Certificate/ Certificate of Graduation as proof of having acquired the minimum educational qualification on the closing date failing which the candidature of such candidate will be cancelled by the Commission.

Note-IV: Due weightage will be given to candidates with NCC „B? or „C? certificate at the time of interview/personality test.

Note-III The upper age limit is relaxable for the following categories of candidates:-

a) SC/ST candidates by 5 years and OBC candidates by 3 years. Certificate to be submitted in the prescribed format as stipulated in the notice as and when required.
b) Central Government Employees working on posts in same line/allied cadre will be considered for age relaxation upto 5 years in upper age limit for group ‘B’ posts at A,B,C&D. For Group ‘C’ post at E, Central Government Employees working on posts in same line/allied cadre will be considered for age relaxation upto the age of 40 years provided they have rendered a minimum of 3 years continuous service in the Government of India offices/ departments as on cut-off date i.e. 01.01.2013 and continue to be in such service till their appointment in the Cabinet Secretariat.
c) Candidates of Jammu & Kashmir who have ordinarily been domiciled in the state of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 1.1.1980 to the 31.12.1989 will be eligible for grant of age relaxation in the upper age limit up to a maximum of 5 years.
d) Ex-servicemen candidates applying for Group ‘B’ and Group ‘C’ posts will be eligible for relaxation upto 3 years after deduction of the military service rendered from the actual age as on the cut off date.

Note-IV Candidate should possess the prescribed educational qualification and age as on 1-1-2013.

Note-V Only online applications (Annexure-I) will be accepted in website www.ssconline2.gov.in. In view of the huge number of applicants, scrutiny of the eligibility category etc. will not be undertaken at the time of Tier-I and TierII examination. Therefore, the application will be accepted provisionally only. The candidates are advised to go through the requirements of educational qualification, age, etc. and satisfy themselves that they are eligible, before
applying and before indicating their preference for any particular post. Copies of supporting documents will be sought, only from those candidates who appear in tier-II examination, at the time of interview/ skill test/ document verification. Candidature will be cancelled if any information or claim is not found substantiated when the scrutiny of documents is undertaken after TierII of the Examination. The Department’s decision will be final in this regard.

Note-VI Candidates submitting their application online should pay a fee of Rs. 100/- (One hundred only) through State Bank of India challan or online account with SBI. Challan form will be generated online (please see ‘Annexure –II’ for filling online application). All Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe are exempted from paying application fee, as per extant government orders.

Note-VII Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstance.

Note-VIII Fee paid by modes other than SBI will not be considered and the applications of such candidates will be rejected outright and payment made shall stand forfeited.

Note-IX Candidates are advised to furnish correct information regarding their age, educational qualification and Caste/Category (i.e. SC/ST/OBC) in the application forms.

Note-X No change of Centre of Examination will be allowed under any circumstance. Hence, the candidates should select the centres carefully and indicate the same correctly in their applications. Any centre may be cancelled and candidates diverted to other centres.

Notice for Sub Inspector(Executive) Male/Female in Delhi Police Examination 2012


Candidates may refer to the Notice of Sub Inspector(Executive) Male/Female in Delhi Police Examination 2012 published in the Employment News dated 09-06-2012.

Due to administrative reasons, it has been decided in consultation with Ministry of Home Affairs and Delhi Police to cancel the medical examinations of the candidates conducted by regional offices of the Commission for recruitment of Sub Inspector(Executive) Male/Female in Delhi Police Examination, 2012. After  finalisation of the list of candidates selected on the basis of performance in written examination and interview, Delhi Police will conduct medical examination afresh for the selected candidates, as provided in the approved scheme, before offering appointment.

Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying and Contract) Exam 2013 Corrigendum


Staff Selection Commission makes some changes in Junior Engineers (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical & Quantity Surveying and Contract) Exam 2013 Notification.

Changes as follows:

  1. The date of examination may be read as 19-05-2013 in place of 26-05-2013.
  2. Closing date for receipt of application for the said examination may be read as 22-03-2013 in place of 15-03-2013.
  3. Closing date for receipt of applications for the examination in case of candidates residing in Assam, Mehalaya,Arunachal Pradesh, Mozoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul and Spiti District and Pangi Sub Diviion of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for the candidates residing abroad may be read as 29-03-2013 in place of 22-03-2013.
  4. The period of facility of online application available may be read as “From 23-02-2013 to 22-03-2013 for Part.II Registration and upto 20-03-2013 for Part.I Registration” in place of “From 23-02-2013 to 15-03-2013 for Part.II Registration and upto 13-03-2013 for Part.I Registration”.
  5. The code of VH persons given in column 11.1 of the application form may be treated as deleted as the posts are not identified suitable for VH persons.

Tentative Schedule for SSC Examination 2012-2013


Staff Selection Commission (SSC) revised the examination schedule of SSC Examination 2012-2013. During November 2012 to December 2013 SSC will conduct SSC Combined Higher Secondary, SSC FCI, SSC Higher Secondary Exam, Multi Tasking (Non Technical) Staff Exam, Junior Engineer, Hindi Translator and other important examination.
